Details

Public health practitioners should use this guidance to respond to laboratory reports or clinical notifications of infection with STEC, including O157 and non-O157 serogroups.

The guidance is accompanied by:

  • template letters
  • algorithms for local response to cases of infection
  • a risk assessment proforma
  • leaflets for cases

The guidance should be used along with the national surveillance questionnaire.
