Register and enrol for the Shared Workspace online service

If you’re invited to use Shared Workspace you’ll receive an email to let you know that two letters have been sent to you (or your Customer Nominated Contact).

These letters will give you your:

  • Shared Workspace User ID
  • Shared Workspace Activation Token

If you don’t receive them within 7 working days of the invitation email, please contact your Customer Nominated Contact or the Online Services Helpdesk.

Your invitation email includes links to let you:

  • register for Government Gateway and enrol for the Shared Workspace service
  • enrol for the Shared Workspace service with your existing Government Gateway account
  • access the Government Gateway homepage
  • access the Shared Workspace web pages on GOV.UK, which gives more information

Enrol for Shared Workspace

To enrol for the Shared Workspace online service you will need an individual account.

If you have not already created an individual account, click on ‘create sign in details’. You will need to select ‘individual’ when asked to choose the type of account you need.

You will need to enter the Shared Workspace user ID and Shared Workspace Activation Token that you have received by post.
