     Updated to reflect recent changes to the Immigration Rules, replacing the previous General Grounds for Refusal with the new Part Suitability provisions, and provide links to the relevant guidance.

  2. 29 July 2025

     This guidance has been updated to include additional references to the suitability provisions in the Immigration Rules, to outline the policy when a person has held both Section 67 leave and permission to stay on a protection route and to replace outdated references to physical immigration documents.

  3. 2 December 2024

     Guidance updated to indicate that references in paragraphs 352ZG to 352ZS of the Immigration Rules to a residence permit shall include biometric immigration documents such as an eVisa, and to set out the policy on handling cases where there is an impending prosecution.

  4. 23 April 2024

     Updated to include information relevant to processing Indefinite Leave to Remain applications from those with Section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 leave.
