It is to help recipients understand their obligations and duties in relation to the School Governance (Roles, Procedures and Allowances) (England) Regulations 2013 as amended by the School Governance (Roles, Procedures and Allowances) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.
This departmental advice replaces the ‘Statutory guidance on the School Governance (Procedures) (England) Regulations 2003’, and the non-statutory guidance ‘Paying allowances to school governors 2003’.
