Working with the scallop fishing industry to look at stock assessments is crucial for the sustainable use of both King and Queen scallop resources.

This questionnaire is seeking the support of fishermen to use their data and experience to estimate and monitor scallop abundance in English waters. This will help with the definition of assessment techniques.

This work is carried out as part of a Defra project “Designing approaches to monitor exploitation of scallops in English waters to support development of stock assessment”.
