Details

Sir David Nicholson has written to NHS organisations to inform them that, in light of the recent abuse allegations against Jimmy Savile  involving NHS organisations, the Secretary of State has appointed Kate Lampard, vice chair of NHS South of England to provide assurance that the Department and the relevant NHS organisations are, in relation to their investigations, following a robust process aimed at protecting the interests of patients. Sir David has asked that NHS organisations take the opportunity to review, with their Boards, and working as necessary with local agencies, their own arrangements and practices relating to vulnerable people.
