The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) chairs a Cross-Sector Safeguarding Steering Group (CSSG). This includes representatives from stakeholders who made commitments related to the international Safeguarding Summit in October 2018. The CSSG meets every 3 months to share progress, challenges and examples of best practice across the sector.
For accountability, transparency and learning, the CSSG publishes an annual progress report. This provides an update on work to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) in line with the London Summit commitments.
The report outlines progress, challenges and the highlights of its members’ work on safeguarding against SEAH from August 2022 to October 2023.
