Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from BDR Property Limited.

Regulated facility type

Section 5.2 Part A(1)(a) the disposal of waste in a landfill, non-hazardous waste. The variation proposes to increase the annual input from 367,000 tonnes to 500,000 tonnes per annum, this increase is due to expected commercial demand. No other changes have been applied for with the waste types, capacity, site area, containment engineering, associated infrastructure and monitoring requirements remaining the same.

  • a summary of the management system
  • an environmental risk assessment
  • proposed operating techniques, including an assessment of best available techniques
  • management plans to address any key risks
  • modelling and monitoring of any significant emissions to air, land or water

  • raw material usage and measures for energy efficiency and avoiding waste production
