How to find the lock
Address: Chimney, Bampton, Oxfordshire, OX18 2EJ.
From the B4449, turn south towards Chimney at Aston.
From Chimney, follow the footpath south-east (approximately 0.7 miles from the lock). The route is marked on the map with green dashed lines.
Facilities
There is no car parking at the lock.
You may park in Chimney village where local restrictions permit.
Toilets are available at the lock.
Where to fish
From the lock, follow the towpath west and upstream. Cross the towpath footbridge. Continue to follow the path west and upstream to the weir. You may fish from the weir walkway.
