How to find the lock

Address: 147 Thameside, Staines, Middlesex, TW18 2JA.

From the B376 (Laleham to Shepperton road), turn west towards the river. Follow Beech Tree Lane to the towpath (Thames Side).

Follow the towpath to the lock. The route is marked on the map with a green dashed line.

Facilities

There is car parking at the lock allocated for blue badge holders. Please speak to the lock keeper in advance to check availability.

Other users may park on the roadside where local restrictions permit. You should not park on Beech Tree Lane or Thames Side as these are private.

Toilets are available at the lock.

Where to fish

Cross the lock gates and weir walkway. You may fish on the first island in the area marked by wooden posts.

You may also cross the footbridge to the second island. You may fish in areas marked by wooden posts.

One of the fishing platforms is designed for use with a wheelchair.

Additional information

You may fish from dawn to dusk at this site. You must show your permit to the lock keeper during the lock keepers’ hours of duty.
