Details
This direction requires the council to take steps to improve the exercise of its children’s social care functions, including updates to the Commissioner terms of reference and Strategic partnership arrangements.
These include the requirement to:
- engage with the Non-Executive Children’s Services Commissioner
- comply with the recommendations set out in the report from the Commissioner for Children’s Services in Tameside
This direction replaces the earlier statutory direction issued to Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council in September 2024.
