Details
This direction was revoked on 26 May 2023 as confirmed in the letter from Andrew Warren, DfE Regional Director for the West Midlands.
Statutory direction placed on Birmingham City Council in relation to its children’s services from July 2019.
It withdraws the Children’s Services Commissioner and requires Birmingham City Council to engage with Birmingham Children’s Trust, and the authority’s partners, to facilitate continued improvement.
This direction replaced the earlier statutory direction issued to the council in March 2018.
