Details

This report follows a review which assessed the current governance arrangements for civil flying display safety to determine the form of governance that achieves the level of safety required by the Department for Transport (DfT). The review was commissioned by DfT and conducted by Helios.

The government has published a response to this review.

Background to the review

Following the fatal accident at Shoreham Airshow the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) recommended that DfT commissioned an independent review of the governance of flying display activity in the UK (PDF, 29MB).
