Data from September 2010 onwards on:

  • pre-opening funding to academy trusts for essential expenditures before a school opens
  • post-opening funding which allows schools to cover essential initial costs and ongoing costs

Revenue spending refers to the costs associated with establishing a new school (such as staff recruitment) and essential costs once open, such as buying books and equipment.
