This direction is cited under the Republic of Belarus (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2021. UK airport operators are directed by the Secretary of State for Transport to refuse landing clearances for Belarussian aircraft.

This direction should be read alongside the statutory guidance for the Republic of Belarus Sanctions and guidance published by departments including the Department for International Trade (DIT), Department for Transport (DfT), Home Office and HM Treasury through the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI).
