Plymouth University and the Western Morning News received £1 million from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) in August 2011 for a programme driving local growth through grants to small and medium-sized businesses from Truro to Exeter. The programme has made 20 awards at an average of £46,000 and had created 71 jobs by November 2012. At least another 15 jobs are likely to be created by March 2013.
