The government is investing £10 million through the Regional Co-operative Development Programme to support its commitment to double the size of the co-operative and mutuals sector.
Funding will help Mayors and Strategic Authorities support the creation of more co-operative businesses. Co-operatives are owned and run by the staff, customers and communities who use them, so local people share directly in the success of their high streets.
