The CMA has responded to the Reforming Regulation Initiative consultation, led by The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The CMA’s response highlights the relationship between regulation and competition. In addition, drawing upon the CMA’s markets and advocacy work, the response identifies the potential pro-competition, pro-consumer benefits of well-designed regulation.
The response also provides a number of practical recommendations for policymakers to consider during the regulatory design, review and evaluation phase.
