Review of the current methods used by government for forecasting rail demand. The review was completed in 2 phases.

The review suggests a new:

  • forecasting methodology
  • set of recommended forecasting parameters

The recommendations of this report will be included in the May 2018 version of the ‘TAG Unit M4 Forecasting and Uncertainty’ transport guidance.
