Details

The contaminated land regime has been extended to cover radioactive contaminated land. Local authorities now have a duty to inspect land where there are reasonable grounds for believing that land to be radioactive contaminated land. In doing so, they are required to have regard to the Statutory Guidance for England and that for Wales.
