The then Secretary of State for International Development, Douglas Alexander, wrote to the Prince following a meeting to provide contact details for various teams within the Department for International Development, arrange a meeting with representatives of the Prince’s charities, and to offer an update about the Millennium Development Goals call to action. The then Secretary of State also offered some information on possible sources of funding for a charity.
The Prince replied to thank the then Secretary of State for his letter and to welcome the meeting arranged between the minister and the chief executives of the Prince’s charities.
