Poultry meat model health certificates: version history

Competent authorities must provide a health certificate to exporters of animals and animal products to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Competent authorities should use the updates below to make changes to health certificates for exporters to ensure they are in line with the current version of the model health certificates.

GBHC074X POU Poultry meat from non-EU countries

Version 4.0

Published March 2023:

  • This certificate will be accepted until 29 April 2024. This is the last date (inclusive) that this certificate will be accepted, based on the date it was signed, not the date the consignment arrives in Great Britain.

  • II.2.1.1: amended to provide additional options during and following outbreaks of highly pathogenic and low pathogenic avian influenza

  • II.2.1.2: amended reference to Avian influenza and Newcastle Disease

  • II.2.3: amended to delete the final part of the sentence “under conditions at least equivalent to those in that Regulation”

Version 3.1

Published August 2022 - accepted until 17 September 2023:

  • Part II.2 (Animal health attestation): removed references to Annex I of Commission Regulation (EC) No 798/2008 in each place they occurred. Replaced with references to a document relating to ‘poultry and poultry products’ published on GOV.UK, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 798/2008
