Porcine meat: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export porcine meat to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details

Porcine meat exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC024X, GBHC024E/SM and GBHC310

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC024X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC310 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC310 from 31 January 2024.

EU regions subject to safeguard measures must use GBHC024E/SM from 1 January 2021.

Model health certificate for fresh meat, including minced meat, of domestic porcine animals (Sus scrofa) (Regulation 206/2010) (POR).

  1. We have updated certificate GBHC310. We have also updated the 'use from' date for certificate GBHC310. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  2. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  3. Updated certificates GBHC024E/SM and GBHC024X. See version history for full details of the changes.

  4. Certificate GBHC024E should now be used from 31 December 2023. It was previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.

  5. We've updated certificate GBHC024X.

  6. Updated the following porcine meat model health certificate: POR (porcine meat) from EU 206/2010 (GBHC024X).

  7. Updated model health certificate 206-2010 GBHC024E.

  8. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  9. Changed the date that some of the forms should be used to 1 July 2022.

  10. Updated certificate POR from non-EU countries 206/2010 GBHC024X.

  11. Edited 206/2010 GBHC024E - this will now come into use 1 October 2021
