Pig bristles: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export pig bristles to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Pig bristles exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC038X and GBHC570

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC038X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC570 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC570 from 31 January 2024.

Model health certificate for pig bristles from third countries or regions thereof that are not free from African swine fever (PB-NF).

Certificates GBHC138X and GBHC571

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC138X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC571 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC571 from 31 January 2024.

  1. We have updated certificate GBHC570. We have also updated the 'use from' date for certificates GBHC570 and GBHC571. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024.Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024. See version history for full details.

  2. We have added certificate GBHC571 PB-F: Pig bristles from countries free from ASF and updated the version history.

  3. We have removed all EU certificates ending in E for pig bristles. We are currently in the process of replacing these with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  4. Certificates GBHC138E and GBHC038E should now be used from 31 December 2023. They were previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.

  5. We’ve updated certificates GBHC038X and GBHC138X.

  6. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  7. Updated the date that some of the forms should be used to 1 July 2022

  8. Uploaded pig bristles health certificates GBHC038E and GBHC138E. Updated certificates GBHC038X and GBHC138X.
