The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Envar Composting Facility.
The proposed variation does not involve substantial change.

- Addition of S5.4 A(1)(b)(i) Recovery or a mix of recovery and disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 75 tonnes per day involving biological treatment for IVC Composting/biodrying of sewage sludge
- Heat treatment of waste for the purpose of recovery. Heat provided by two biomass boilers, each of a thermal input of 0.9 MWth and two dryers.
