Participation in the Seventh UK National Action Plan for Open Government

Guidance on how to build capability, co-create, implement and review commitments for the seventh National Action Plan for Open Government.

Details

The Seventh UK National Action Plan for Open Government (NAP7) will develop individual commitments through a four-stage process:

  1. Build capability for government and civil society to co-create open government commitments;
  2. Co-create commitments through a collaborative process which considers relevant evidence and analysis, defines the problem and solutions, and secures final government approval;
  3. Implements the agreed commitment through clear milestones and deliverables;
  4. Consider “what comes next?” after the commitment has been implemented.

Commitments under NAP7 should contribute to improving the openness of government, and should seek to demonstrate best practice in pursuit of these aims.
