Detail

This letter sets out the Secretary of State for Transport’s decision about the Port of London (Orchard Wharf) Compulsory Purchase Order 2012. The Port of London Authority sought confirmation from the minister to make a compulsory purchase order for Orchard Wharf. A local public inquiry was held last year to hear objections and representations about the order. The Inspector then submitted a report to the Secretary of State for Transport.

After considering objections to the order and the arguments in the inspector’s report the Secretary of State has decided to confirm the order as submitted. The order, along with statement of confirmation have also been published.
