Purpose
To inform OVSs of amendments to Import Information Notes (IINs) for milk and colostrum not for human consumption, ABP/2A and ABP/2B, intended to clarify how attestation AH/T108 should be completed in corresponding health certificates.
Background
APHA and BCP officials have identified instances where attestation AHT108 ‘Territory requirements’ may have been completed incorrectly in ‘GBHC587 Colostrum and colostrum products from bovine animals not for human consumption’, and ‘GBHC583 Milk, milk-based products and milk-derived products not for human consumption’.
Clarification relating to the completion of this attestation was first published in Import Information Note (IIN) GEN/4 ‘Clarifying information for imports of animal products’, in December 2024.
To raise awareness of this clarification, IIN ABP/2A ‘Import of milk, milk-based and milk-derived products not for human consumption’ and IIN ABP/2B ‘Import of colostrum and colostrum products not for human consumption’ have been updated to include a direct link in section 6 to the relevant guidance for this attestation contained within IIN GEN/4.
