The nuclear industry’s own vision for the UK nuclear sector in domestic and global markets to 2050, explaining how to enable this.
Explains UK nuclear industry ambitions over the next 40 years to ensure the development of a vibrant UK nuclear sector and to position the UK as a strong player in the expanding global nuclear market, yielding long-term economic growth. It also explains what government and industry must do to achieve this vision.
The UK nuclear industry has a clear and ambitious vision for its future in:
- new nuclear
- operations and maintenance
- waste management & decommissioning
- fuel cycle services
The vision has been produced by representatives of the UK’s nuclear industry as part of government’s response to the House of Lord’s Science & Technology Select Committee report on the UK’s nuclear research and development (R&D) capability.
