Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from East Coast Waste Limited.
The proposed variation changes a standard rules permit into a bespoke permit.

This is a variation from a Standard Rules permit (SR2008 No3 - 75kte household, commercial and industrial waste transfer station with treatment) to a Bespoke waste permit. The site boundary is being extended by a small amount, which brings the site closer to sensitive receptors, which means they can no longer meet the standard rules. There will be no change to the site layout, activities on site or tonnages.
