Details

Operation ESCALIN is a fuel supply contingency measure jointly managed by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Ministry of Defence to make trained military drivers available to support fuel deliveries.

This Direction from the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP, will increase the cost to fuel hauliers for using military drivers in an Operation ESCALIN deployment.
