Ofqual’s Enforcement Panel has issued the University of West London (UWL) with a monetary penalty of £150,000 for breaches of Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition.

In between November 2022 and March 2023, Ofqual became aware of concerns from an anonymous whistleblower alleging that UWL had failed to exercise proper control over one of its Centres, resulting in it being able to design, deliver and award qualifications with limited oversight from UWL.
