Introduction
The Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is launching the MOD security approval form 680 (F680) as the latest product on the service ‘apply to export controlled goods’ (previously known as LITE). This will allow applications for F680s to move away from the current system, SPIRE.
If you already apply for SIELs using our new online service, you should continue to log into the service as normal. You may notice some changes to the service as we prepare to launch F680s. We will contact you directly when you can begin to apply for F680s.
If you have never used our new service, you need to register. You can register now. However, you will not be able to make F680 applications yet. We will contact you directly when you can begin to apply for F680s.
Our intention is to transition all F680 applications off SPIRE in the coming weeks. We will inform you of any updates via our Notices to Exporters.
