The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Peter Bennie Limited.

1.16.12 Physical treatment of non-hazardous waste. The waste treatment will include screening, crushing, separation, sorting and blending of waste to produce soil, soil substitutes and aggregates. The site will have a total storage capacity of 150kt and will have an annual throughput of 125kt.Waste will be delivered onto site by heavy goods vehicles and then deposited into stockpile towards the northern side of the site. Contravening waste will be removed from the stockpiles by handpicking and will be sorted within a secure container. Wastes are then screened to separate waste types according to particle size before treatment. Crushing and screening will be undertaken to the south of the site.
