The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Noble Foods Limited.

The proposed variation does not involve substantial change.

The number of permitted rearing pullets on the installation will increase from 150,000 to 208,614 following demand for multi-tier rearing systems. Houses 1 and 2 will increase to 52,000 birds in each house, after subsequent internal changes to the design and layout of each of the houses. There will be no change to the ventilation in the houses.

Houses 3 – 6 will remain unchanged.
