Details

The data collection template is for child health record departments (CHRD) to collect and submit newborn blood spot screening data. It is to collect data on the standards for the newborn blood spot screening programme.

Each child health records department must complete a template for annual review.

The newborn blood spot (NBS) screening programme includes quality standards that indicate progress and shows areas for improvement.

Please download and complete this version of the data collection template. Once complete, return to england.screeningdata@nhs.net by 17th July 2026.
