New Enterprise Allowance phase 2 provider guidance

This DWP guidance is for providers of the New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) phase 2. It is for referrals made from April 2017.

This guidance is no longer in use. The COVID-19 New Enterprise Allowance Phase 2 scheme has completed, and the provider contract ended on 23rd October 2023.

Details

NEA mentoring phase 2 (sometimes called NEA 2017) is aimed at supporting some:

  • benefit claimants to start their own business
  • Universal Credit (full service) claimants who are already self-employed to develop and grow their business
