The remit of this report and related studies is to facilitate a better understanding of how, and to what extent current and planned perinatal provision is capable of meeting the needs of BME women.

The National Mental Health Development Unit commissioned this report to begin this process. The report and the studies on which it is based are part of ‘The National Perinatal Mental Health Project.
