Details
The UK government has been reviewing the requirements for UK responders in respect of protective equipment for use in chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN) and other contaminated environments. The work is led by the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) in the Home Office, and supports police, fire, health and military responders. It aims to cover any CBRN terrorist event and includes hazardous materials, illicit drug laboratories and chemical fatalities.
Supplier briefing, 11 November 2015
The Crown Commercial Service, in association with the Home Office, held a supplier briefing for potential suppliers of CBRN personal protective equipment (PPE) in London on Wednesday 11 November 2015. This follows on from the previous briefings under the MP3S project (details below).
Slides from the session are shared above.
Please send any questions about the slides to pat.robinson@cabinetoffice.gov.uk by Friday 20 November. All questions and answers will be shared in due course on this page.
Previous briefings
On Monday 23 September 2013, OSCT and other government departments and agencies presented the government’s proposals for this type of personal protective equipment. This was not the start of a procurement process, and no procurement should be expected or planned for.
A webinar for interested suppliers was also held on 3 December 2013 and a presentation was given at the Emergency Services Show on 25 September 2014.
