Details

This sample certificate shows what the document you get when your vehicle passes its MOT should look like.

If the MOT garage computer system isn’t working when your vehicle is tested, you can be given the ‘contingency’ version of the certificate. This is a still a valid certificate - you don’t need to replace it later.

You’ll get the bilingual (Welsh and English) version of the certificate if your vehicle is tested at any MOT centre in Wales.

You’ll get a different notice if your vehicle fails its MOT.

Check the MOT status of a vehicle if you’re not sure whether your MOT certificate is valid.
