Model notification letter for planning appeals

A template designed to be used by local planning authorities when notifying interested parties of planning appeals.

  1. Updated to remove the case officer's name

  2. These updates reflect: • The new PINS postal address • The new appeal service for planning, Listed Building and HAS

  3. These letters include links to the new appeal service.

  4. The letter has been updated to encourage LPAs to inform interested parties when an appeal is submitted with new evidence that did not form part of the original application, their comments can address such matters.

  5. Updated paragraph 5 and inserted para 6 as part of the improvements to encourage early submission of Rule 6 parties

  6. Update to include prospective R6 should get in touch with PINS asap

  7. The letter has been updated to remove the option of submitting representations by email and requesting three hard copies.
