The MOD ‘Strategy for procurement of legal and sustainable timber’ was introduced as of 1 October 2005 and applies to commercial timber and timber products.
The definitions of timber, including legal, recycled and virgin timber, are at annex A of the strategy. This policy does not apply to paper, paper products and card, for which is covered by a separate MOD strategy.
