This report considers the current policy behind identifying training gaps for the workforce and any effects from it.
The aim of this report is to further explore the recommendations from the ‘Review of training and materials’.
The report provides information on the current training materials, tools and resources that incorporate poverty and disadvantage and provides a gap analysis of poverty and disadvantage training in the workforce. It may be used by any practitioner who has an interest in or a need to understand child poverty and disadvantage.
A variety of sources have been used to test whether there are any gaps in the training provision for the children’s workforce. Materials and information have been gathered from a literature review and a web based search.
