This report sets out the findings of the commissioner’s 3-month review and makes recommendations for the improvement of children’s social care services in Middlesbrough.
It follows a report by Ofsted that judged the overall effectiveness of the council’s children’s social care services to be inadequate.
The Department for Education issued a revised statutory direction to Middlesbrough Council on 4 June 2020.
