This note replaces MGN 111 (M+F) maintenance of crew lists ashore and should be read with the merchant shipping (crew agreements, lists of crew and discharge of seamen)(fishing vessels) regulations 1972 (S.I 1972/919) as amended and the merchant shipping (crew agreements, list of crew and discharge of seamen) regulations 1991 (S.I 1991/2144) as amended by the merchant shipping (maritime labour convention)(consequential and minor amendments) regulations 2014 (S.I 2014/1614).

Notice to all

  • Shipowners
  • Employers
  • Masters of merchant vessels
  • Skippers of fishing vessels

These regulations do not apply to fishing vessels of less than 40 feet in length.

It also advises on the requirements to deliver on demand, a list of crew to the Registrar-General of Shipping and Seamen.
