This joint letter from Public Health England and NHS England sets out the details of the addition of a MenACWY conjugate vaccine programme in response to an increase in cases of invasive meningococcal W (MenW) disease.
It provides the information needed to implement the MenACWY programme in general practice and schools, including guidance on those young people eligible and when they should be invited for vaccination. It also contains:
- clinical advice on the use of the MenACWY conjugate vaccines (Menveo® and Nimenrix®)
- details of how to order the vaccines
- funding arrangements
