This Memorandum of Cooperation between the UK and Japanese governments increases cooperation between the 2 nations across a range of civil nuclear activities, including:

  • decommissioning
  • research and development
  • new nuclear

It was signed on 22 December 2016 by the UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Greg Clark, and Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Hiroshige Seko.
