As part of its work to set out new pathways for development of medicines and medical technology, ultimately to give NHS patients quicker access, the Accelerated Access Review team commissioned Monitor Deloitte, CASMI and King’s Fund to conduct a study into the barriers to getting patients faster access to innovation. The report maps the existing innovation pathways for medicines, devices and diagnostics.

The findings will feed into the wide ranging evidence base that the Accelerated Access Review team are collecting and analysing to support the review’s Chair, Sir Hugh Taylor, as he develops his thinking.
