Medical physics experts recognition scheme

How the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) recognises Medical Physics Experts (MPEs) as competent in radiation safety.

This document explains how the DHSC will recognise MPEs as competent, as required by medical exposure regulations on radiation safety.

Certificates from RPA2000 are valid for 5 years. Discussion on renewal of certificates is ongoing and will be agreed once transition of all those on the list of existing MPEs has taken place.
