Cost of care reports and market sustainability plans by local authority

Following an announcement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 29 July 2024, the planned adult social care charging reforms, which were inherited from the previous government, will not be taken forward in October 2025.

As part of the Market Sustainability and Fair Cost of Care Fund 2022 to 2023, local authorities were required to publish cost of care reports on 1 February 2023, and final market sustainability plans on 28 March 2023. This table links to all currently available publications.
